Rock’n’roll as a philosophy implies freedom, peace, truth and love. Rock’n’roll as a political movement implies rebellion. Rock’n’roll as a lifestyle implies authentic existence and inner harmony. Rock’n’roll as a musical expression and genre includes all of the above. Rock’n’roll is not necessarily tied to sex and drugs. Freedom does not mean irresponsibility. Inner peace does not mean idleness and lethargy. Love does not mean promiscuity. Rebellion does not mean crudeness. Why the need for rock’n’roll today? Drowned in kitsch, show business, media spin, advertising, junk food and drinks – we only have one chance for salvation. That chance is rebellious children. If the children do not rise up, if they do not take a swim in the opposite direction, we will surely and quietly sink into the living sand of totalitarianism, lies,
greed and envy. That is why I decided to form a rock’n’roll band at age 47. My first rock’n’roll band.
