Exciting journey involves the stories of a series of ordinary and unusual events from the lives of adolescents and animals. The original play is based on the motifs of the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale The Bremen Musicians, carrying the same message, that cooperation and the development of imagination can help us make even the craziest dreams come true. The boy Kuna dreams of joining a rock band, and conquering the music scene. After failing at an audition, he sets up a band with his school friends. A talented lady singer appears, and the troubles for the band start. Will the newly formed band VIS ZIVOTINJE (ANIMALS) split at the very beginning of its career or will they apply to the local competition after all and become famous? This play is in no way a criticism of the abuse of the animals, and it does not educate viewers on how to treat them. THE ANIMALS is more of an essay on what we
as humans can learn about ourselves from the animals, in which way we could prevent the cultural disappearance of the animals, which is more horrifying than their physical marginalization. What distinguishes this play is also the application of a specific acting technique, based on studies of the anatomy and the movements of animals, enabling the actors to convey the universal idea of the play with their bodies, in a pronounced, imaginative and funny way.
