The Ulcinj Pirate is not a story about how love conquers everything. If the man has no will, strength and courage to fight for himself – love always loses. The Ulcinj Pirate is a fairy tale about Aisha, a proud and noble girl who would not settle for less in her life than she wishes for. In a distant time, when women were, without exception, subordinated and disempowered, Aisha believed that life and destiny were matters of personal choice, and that one needed to fight for happiness in spite of everything and everyone. Unfortunately, people sacrifice their happiness too often for the sake of an empty and anxious life that offers greater comfort. That is why the Ulcinj Pirate is a fairy tale. Not because of some fairies, witches, winged horses and magic, but because the heroine of the story makes no compromises in her struggle for happiness.
