Two characters remain significant from the two-centuries-old Hungarian fair puppetry tradition - Knight Laszlo and Paprika Jancsi. They are audience favorites even nowadays, because they confront those who dabble in evil-doings. With a distinguished red hat on his head and using a frying pan as his weapon, Knight Laszlo poses a threat to every evil out there - the devil and even the death itself. This jolly Guignol show is presented by Pályi János, one of the most prolific puppeteers in Hungary, who continues this tradition while enhancing it with his temper and masterful puppet manipulation. The puppeteer introduces the audience to a merry world and speaks of those ancient truths which we forgot, while suggestively encouraging us with joy
and playfulness to relearn and rediscover the magic.
