“The Giving Tree” is a shelter to all of us, refuge from trouble and retreat to security. It is a story about all of us who were once children, those who still are and children who will eventually grow up or remain children forever. It is a story about each generation. That is why everyone needs a giving tree – it presents a struggle for life, despite all of its problems. The giving tree is an invite for friendship, understanding, sacrificing and peace in one’s solitude. Let’s sit under the giving tree… This is a show which deals with love as a journey through life of giving and taking. A musical about inevitability and transience, selflessness and selfishness, unsparing love, relinquishment, growing old, maturing and solitude.
